An endless passion for music, for voices,
for discovery, for people, for life. RuKus is a local band from Wilmington, NC and we love to rock!
Think you can cause a bigger “RuKus” than these kids? Not a chance…this ain’t amateur hour. The name comes from their explosive attitude and presence on stage that sticks out all over town. The band was originally founded by lead guitarist Colin Lillich and drummer Trevor Richards in mid 2019, with lead singer Mason Mackinnon and bassist, Ethan Langley coming on to the scene down the road. In 2022 and 2023, RuKus has expanded their local gigs to play at venues like, Wrightsville Beach Brewery, Brunswick Beer Xchange, Katy’s Grill and Bar, Reggies, Mac’s Speed Shop and many other venues as well as lots of Wilmington local parties.
Original Music RuKus is inspired by a wide range of musicians all around the world which allows them to create a variety of different genres into original music. Everything is written, recorded and mixed by the band with their own personal home studio. The band has released two studio records (What’d You Wish For and The After Party) to EP’s 2 Singles and 1 Film Soundtrack. Even though Lillich has moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music, the band continues to write and release music and has no plans of slowing down!
